Personal bio:

I grew up in Colombia and had the chance to live, study and work in different countries and cultures. I lived for 19 years in Colombia studying in a French school, 1 year in Denmark improving my English in an international school, 2 years in the South of France where I studied economics, 3 years in Switzerland studying Hospitality Management in Glion with a specialization in Luxury Brand Management and working in different types of outlets (Restaurants, Luxury hotels, nightclubs, bars, etc…), half a year in Monaco working in Finance for a Marriott Hotel and finally arrived in London right after my graduation to work for D&D London.

What do you love about your current position?

It’s challenging and different every day, I’m constantly learning. I enjoy everything from staff management to staff recruitment. It is a position with high responsibility and combines a good amount of administrative work and customer attention.

Why did you apply to work at D&D?

I had the opportunity to open a luxury restaurant for D&D, as a manager in training. Also it offers a wide range of different restaurants which have their own identity (French, Italian, British to name a few), as well as a particular focus on design. It is a company that is constantly growing (even overseas), which gives you a very good chance to grow within the company and even move in different restaurants and give an insight in styles of service and food. You also get to try all the restaurants with a 40% staff discount which makes it even better.

Favourite D&D restaurant and why?

It depends on the occasion. But I would say Angler. The food is amazing and the service as well 😉 My experience in that restaurant as a customer has been something I have never experienced before. It is the perfect combination between friendliness and attention to detail, to the Michelin starred delicious food of Gary Foulkes.
